Chicago Mercantile Exchange starts trading Ethereum futures

Long-awaited launch of settled Ethereum futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).

The new product went on sale yesterday, and the first trade deals start today. According to the description, crypto futures are monthly contracts for 50 ETH (about $ 82 thousand at the current exchange rate), settlements for which are made in cash at the reference rate of ether-dollar CME CF. The minimum trade size is 5 contracts.

Liquidity providers for new products include companies such as Galaxy, Genesis, NYDIG, CoinShares, BlockFi.
